This page provides a cross-section of the platforms, workflows, and user systems I have owned across HCM, recruiting, benefits, employee experience, fintech-adjacent products, and internal product operations.

Product Domain Highlights
Company Org Chart Org Visualization & Employee Discovery
  • Primary Work: launched a new Org Chart platform using consumer-grade UX for a major HCM platform in just 90 days. This increased utilization by over 800%, scaling to over 5 million annual users, with over 150k Daily Active Users between web and mobile platforms.
  • Secondary Work:
    • worked with engineering to build multiple APIs, work engines, and event monitors to detect employee changes across multiple data platforms and event queues (Kafka)
    • created an employee connection interface that surfaced similarities between the current user and other employees to build a greater sense of inclusion for new hires.
Employee Directory Employee Discovery & People Navigation
  • Primary Work: modernized UX for company directory experience and promoted prominence within the mobile app, driving mobile utilization of the Directory by over 300%
  • Secondary Work:
    • worked with engineering to connect the Directory to the Org Chart's multiple APIs, work engines, and event monitors to detect employee changes across multiple data platforms and event queues (Kafka)
    • improved employee search functionality based on user feedback by changing how the name fields were stored and indexed to bring better results on partial name matches
Employee Profile Platform Employee Records & Profile Experience
  • Primary Work: modernized the experience by replacing a legacy profile functionality with a modern and mobile-first platform
  • Secondary Work:
    • created the ability for employees to own their profile contact data visibility (e.g. phone numbers, email addresses, etc.)
    • created a "People Like Me" functionality that allowed employees to find other employees with similar interests, skills, and backgrounds to increase a feeling of belonging
Employee Search API Platform People Search & Identity Data Services
  • Primary Work: created a centralized Mongo document store for employee data that allowed various employee demographic fields to be indexed and searched by all products in the HCM platform. Each of these APIs scaled to tens of millions of requests per month.
  • Secondary Work:
    • worked with other Product and Engineering teams to add new demographic data to the models allowing for different data shapes to be returned based on platform needs
    • led effort to replace a legacy search page with the new APIs, reducing the page load time from 10 seconds to 100 milliseconds and search latency from over 20 seconds to 400 milliseconds for enterprise clients
    • created an API to allow one or more employees' reporting hierarchy to be traversed finding relationships between each employee (e.g. supervisors, or third-level supervisors).
Natural Language Search (NLS) Search & Conversational Discovery Worked with engineering and data science teams to take user inputs for employee search data and convert it into Employee Search API compatible tokens based on NLS packages, converting intent into query subject and filters.
Surveys Employee Feedback & Experience Insights
  • Primary Work: expanded basic Survey Tool into a statistical survey analysis platform complete with multiole new question types (ranked answers, conditional follow up questions, Likert Scale, etc.) and statistical analysis such as mean, median, mode, standard deviations, confidence intervals, margin of error, and random sampling for survey assignment.
  • Secondary Work:
    • created a survey library of over 50 default survey templates for clients to use that measure engagement, preferences, and onboarding informarion.
    • created a mobile-first survey format for assignment within the mobile app
    • created a Surveys Report Writer to allow clients more visibility into survey results

Product Domain Highlights
Benefits Administration Benefits Enrollment & Administration
  • Primary Work: Launched a mass benefits enrollment/update import platform that reduced benefit implementation time by weeks and captured 90% of all benefit enrollments after the first year in production
  • Secondary Work:
    • owned all support triage and defect analysis for the Benefits Administration platform
    • defined a detailed rubric to prioritize bug fixes for the entire Benefits Administration Platform, reducing the backlog of tickets by 35% in six months while also working incoming tickets
    • created bug/fix analysis and priortization process improvements via Atlassian Automation that increased team throughput of bugs by 800%
Employment Authorization Compliance Platform Work Authorization & Employment Compliance
  • Primary Work: Launched an actionable analytics dashboard that provided admins insight into their employee Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance, allowing visibility into missing I-9s, I-9s requiring upcoming reverification, and expired I-9s. Admins could also assign I-9 tasks or start E-Verify cases from the dashboard.
  • Secondary Work:
    • created a Form I-9 audit report that allowed admins to find who completed which sections of the I-9 as well as when they were accessed
    • created a Form I-9 document retention policy that allowed clients to automatically delete Forms I-9 that had past their retention period to reduce audit exposure
    • created a mobile-friendly Form I-9 process for employees
Government Compliance Product Workforce Regulatory Compliance
  • Primary Work: Modernized the EEO-1 Compliance report to allow users to export the existing EEO-1 data into a format that could be immediately uploaded into the EEOC's filing interface (prior to their API functionality). This improved client sentiment regarding the EEO-1 functionality by 40%.
  • Secondary Work:
    • Updated OSHA reporting and tracking to increase transparency, audit compliance and reporting capability
    • created multiple new standard reports for additional compliance tools such as unemployment, EEOC (such as the EEO-4 report), and more.
Headcount Planning Workforce Planning & Budgeting
  • Primary Work: Owned post M&A acquisition of newly acquired Headcount Planning platform into a large HCM provider's HRIS platform including identification of upstream and downstream dependencies, data model definition, process alignment, stakeholder alignment, requirements definition, and GTM activities.
  • Secondary Work:
    • Created a streamlined framework using Atlassian Automation to create a single source of truth for product requirements and engineering work that drastically reduced administrative burden associated with work creating and managing user stories, created stakeholder visibility into project status, and executive visibility into roadmap deliverables
    • Drove multiple SCRUM Ceremonies including refinement, DSU, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retro
    • Led alignment roadmap needs with other Product Teams to ensure platform cohesiveness and proper completion of upstream dependencies
    • Mentored Associate Product Manager that came over with the acquisition to sharpen Product skills in prioritization, stakeholder management, requirements definition, roadmap skills, as well as company operational norms
    • Learned a new HCM-adjacent area: FP&A persona and the needs for the finance and accounting departments from HRIS data
Performance & Compensation Talent Performance & Compensation Management
  • Primary Work: Solved clients' number one issue with Performance Management by creating the ability to create, schedule, and deploy dynamically generated performance reviews based on employee metadata such as hire and anniversay dates, last promotion date, position, department, etc.
  • Secondary Work:
    • Introduced the ability to have different rating scales for each section of a review while still maintaining the ability to have a weighted average score calculated
    • Created the ability for clients to automatically send performance raises to the employee record based on an effective date as well as create a payroll batch for any back-dated salary and bonuses that resulted from the merit cycle
    • Released the ability for clients to have mobile access to complete performance reviews as both employee and supervisor roles
    • Released a Performance Review Setup Wizard to assist users in the creation and preview of performance reviews by allowing them to preview the review from any employee's point of view before the reviews are finalized and sent out, improving both client implementation experience and ongoing ease of use

  • Primary Work: Personally concepted, developed, deployed, and administrated a Competitive Intelligence system that monitored ~75 different vendors, allowing sales teams, product management, and executive leaders to understand the market, new products, and how competitor systems were positioning themselves.

  • Primary Work:
    • Launched in-application "editable PDF" platform that allowed users to create a user-editable document using a variety of mapped variable fields and fields for user-inputs at a company-level for both web and mobile app environments
    • Overhauled the document management system by moving from a system in which documents were assigned to individual employees to a document-centric system that assigned employees to documents and included version-control of documents created
  • Secondary Work:
    • ensured compliance with Forms W-2 and I-9 regulations as they were updated
    • created a company-level document retention policy capability
    • created a company-level document export capability
Employee Change Workflows Platform Workforce Transactions & Approval Workflows
  • Created an extensible and scalable employee change form feature that allowed the ability for users to change nearly any field on the employee record, at admin discretion, reducing client requests for new forms by 100%
  • Created an extensible workflow/approval engine for employee change forms created by users that relied on metadata for dynamic routing
